Polish Digital Society - a guide to the antinomies of the information society
The multifaceted and unprecedented changes ushered in by the development of communication technologies are occurring rapidly and extend to all spheres of life. As individuals and societies, therefore, we have not yet developed adequate instruments of adaptation and resilience to the real and potential threats brought by the digital transformation. Our ambition is not only to observe the processes of development of the information society, but, first of all, to try to develop and implement mechanisms for the "symbiosis" of new technological opportunities and the framework set by human nature.
PTC is an organization that is part of the current of the social scientific movement. As specialists in various fields of science and business, we try to create new insights, new knowledge and new instrumentation to adapt to the transformations brought about by technological changes. In the strategic challenges undertaken, we commonly use predictive techniques and tools. We also do not avoid the challenges of energy transaction and standardization of teaching processes. We strive to preserve the subjective role of the human being in the world of technology in an attempt to prepare institutions, enterprises and state structures for the transformations for which technologies are the primary cause. Acquiring resilience is an essential part of our mission.
