Some of these materials are historical in nature, but there is spelled out in them an "awareness of the era" or elements of pertinent insights or conclusions for our consideration.

The BBC miniseries "The Dream Machine" was made in 1991 and not only presented the story of the creation of modern computers, but also warned of the phenomena we face today. Although today it certainly smacks of the mousy, it also introduces a breath of fresh air into reflections on digitisation.
Unfortunately, only the complete fifth episode of the series and excerpts from earlier ones can be found online. Which is a pity. The voices of both affirmation and warning heard from afar seem to sound particularly loud today. In particular, the prophetic words of Professor Arthur Miller in the last episode seem to be extremely important (approx. 24 min). 
A voice in the discussion on how the clash between communication technologies and the doctrine of political correctness is leading to paradoxes in the formal-legal space with serious consequences.
The Triumph of the Nerds - is a slightly different take on the same subject. Also trumping the mouse, but sharpening the picture of modern times and the processes we are dealing with.
