Digitisation and automation and human rights

When discussing effective protection of human rights, the existence of the state is taken for granted, and the existence and power of such an entity as the state is conditioned by many factors. One of them is a well-functioning economy, a large part of which is the so-called private sector (the second sector, the enterprise sector). It is this sector that generates the largest revenues for the Polish state budget and provides employment for members of society. The way the enterprise sector operates is increasingly influenced by a phenomenon called artificial intelligence. On the one hand, it facilitates work, but on the other, automation and digitization take away people's livelihoods and are becoming the source of another political dispute between the United States and the European Union.

Since science very often contributes to solving critical problems, we are pleased to announce the release of the latest publication by Dr. habil. Kinga Machowicz, professor at the Catholic University of Lublin. The book, entitled “Human Rights Protection in the Private Sector in the Republic of Poland,” was published by Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN SA.
